IBM PC Server 720 SCO OpenServer 5.0.0 and 5.02 Diskette 1 of 3

The enclosed Supplement contains a new module for the Corollary
library. This is required to prevent the IBM PC Server 720 from panicing,
just after the hardware screen display during the boot phase, when running
SMP with processors faster than 100Mhz.

The ordering of the supplements is crucial to ensure that networking
 is functional.

IBM006A applies only to these products:

SCO OpenServer Host System Release 5.0.2
SCO OpenServer Desktop System Release 5.0.2
SCO OpenServer Enterprise System Release 5.0.2

NOTE: - Earlier versions of SCO Open Desktop and SCO UNIX System V/386
         are not supported.

       - There is another supplement for systems based on OpenServer 5.0.0.

       - There is another supplement for systems using the Large Server
Supplement. The Large Server Supplement is required for systems
that have in excess of 512MB of memory.

As the PC Server 720 is based on Corollary CBUS-II architecture, a
further supplement is required from Corollary. Check with Corollary
for the latest version of the Corollary Supplement.

If you have an IBM PC Server 720 Array model, you also need a VCD
(Vendor Contributed Driver) from the IBM/Mylex DAC960 RAID option. This
is available from IBM, Mylex or SCO BBS's. Check the relevant
 documentation for the latest version.

Begin installation of SCO OpenServer 5.0.2 as per the normal SCO
 installation procedure.

 1. Insert the "Boot Disk" from the standard installation set

 2. Manually reset the system or turn the power on.

 3. Wait for the "Boot:" prompt.

For the array model, follow the instructions in Section 1.
For the non-array model, follow the instructions in Section 2.
